Beginning as a nearly vacant commercial office building, the complete historic renovation of the Power & Light Building required the coordinated efforts of hundreds of workers to transform it into the stylish residential skyscraper community residents enjoy today. The unique wedding cake shape of the skyscraper resulted in 99 unit types ranging from floors 3 through 30.

Power & Light Apartments includes 210 1 and 2 bedroom luxury apartments featuring engineered hardwood flooring, quartz waterfall countertops, stainless steel appliances and high-end finishes. First-class resident amenities include the breathtaking Beacon Lounge on the 31st floor, which our team transformed from a utilitarian space into a dazzling lounge and outdoor terrace for residents. The lower level was also a utilitarian space; now it features a resort-style fitness center, whirlpool spa, dry sauna, theater and game lounge, meditation space, as well as massage and red light therapy rooms.

Our project team completed construction in early 2017 and ownership has high occupancy rates.

Immediately behind the building we also constructed Power & Light North Apartments, a new bulding which features a 500-space indoor parking garage, 81 luxury units, plus a rooftop pool and terrace for residents of both buildings.

In 2017, Neighbors Construction Company received the Historic Restoration Award from the Associated Builders & Contractors Heart of America Chapter for this project, and the Best Commercial Over $10M Award for the North building.
