On August 22, 2024, NCCI Vice President Aaron Neighbors moderated the Trends in Design & Construction panel at the Kansas City Multifamily Conference hosted by France Media’s InterFace Conference Group. Aaron led the conversation with industry leaders including Nicole Curry of BRR Architecture, Paul Stark with SWD, Chris Armer with Hoefer Welker, Scott Slaggie with Slaggie Architects, Doug Stockman with Helix Architecture + Design, and Michael McKeen of EPC Real Estate Group. On June 4, 2024, NorthPoint Development hosted a Groundbreaking Press Conference to announce their newest project, Ascent Apartments. Located in North Kansas City adjacent to NorthPoint’s new company headquarters, the Neighbors Construction team will construct 339 Class-A luxury apartment units with stunning indoor and outdoor amenities. We look forward to working with Rosemann & Associates and many trade partners to bring new modern apartment living to North Kansas City.

Integrity Group Real Estate has broken ground on Ellis Glen, embarking on a significant milestone as the first urban infill, mixed-use development in Downtown Lee’s Summit since 2001.

Situated on the northwest corner of SW 2nd and SW Market Streets, Ellis Glen promises to eradicate blight and redefine the downtown landscape with its modern-living-meets-historic-charm vision. The project aims to enhance walkability and accessibility to nearby amenities, such as restaurants, retail shops, and the highly anticipated Downtown Lee’s Summit Farmer’s Market, set to debut in spring 2025.

Olathe-based general contractor Neighbors Construction Company plans to begin pouring building pads in early summer with framing scheduled to start shortly after, aiming for a May 2025 completion date.

In March 2024, the Kansas City Business Journal honored The Chadwick Apartments with the 2024 Capstone Award in the Multifamily category.

With 345 units spread across 3 buildings, The Chadwick boasts state-of-the-art amenities and a transitional design that seamlessly blends traditional and modern elements. The sophisticated interior mirrors the vibrancy of downtown living, offering a fresh perspective to the previously outdated Westbrooke Green retail center.  

This suburban infill community contributes significantly to the revitalization of the central Shawnee location, featuring a central greenspace that fosters integration within the overall development, including upcoming retail phases.

On January 25, 2024, CORE | Modern Apartments on Berkley Riverfront was bestowed with an award in the Multifamily Residential category from DesignKC Magazine.  More than 500 people attended the gala at The Abbott to celebrate the awards. Project partners include NSPJ Architects, Lowery Design Group & NorthPoint Development.

On November 2, 2023, the Associated Builders & Contractors Heart of America Chapter bestowed Neighbors Construction Company with the Excellence in Construction Award in the Residential category.  Our team and client was honored to accept the award.  Thank you, ABC Heart of America.
